New Exhibit at the Trilobite Show

The Trilobite Show is myself and Andrew Scott's pet project. We just love trilobites! To celebrate our devotion to these beings from the past, we are happy to present our third on-line exhibit. This time around, we are featuring the work of master engraver Joachim Barrande.

You can check out our two previous shows here and here.

And don't forget to read the Trilobite Show's official blog by Andrew Scott, The Triloblog. It's every trilobite lovers dream!

The Rejected Nightmare Storyboards on Youtube

Someone edited an animatic of my rejected storyboards and soundtrack from the original version of "Nightmare" and posted it on youtube. This was part of my initial "Insanely Twisted Shadow Puppets" proposal package to Nickelodeon/MTV Networks. The people at Nickelodeon though the imagery and soundtrack would be too traumatic for kids and asked me to revise it.

The revised version of "Nightmare", can be seen here

2D OR NOT 2D Animation Festival Report

It was a pleasure to be a guest speaker at this year 2D or not 2D Animation Festival. Hanging out with Tony White, Don Hahn, Ken Rowe, Nancy Baiman and a bunch of young enthusiastic animators was a blast. Tony, the festival's organizer, has written a nice report on his blog. Check it out!

Vancouver International Jazz Festival

I'm very happy to announce that I've been selected as the official artist to design the poster, program cover, bus side posters, etc, for the 2009 Vancouver International Jazz Festival. The results of my efforts will be all over Vancouver City right in time for the Winter Olympics! How cool is that!
